Russian and Chinese scientists discussed the development of adaptive optics for solar telescopes

In October 2025, a group of scientists from the National Laboratory of Adaptive Optics, Institute of Optics and Electronics, Сhinese Academy of Sciences (Chengdu, China) visited the V.E. Zuev Institute of Atmospheric Optics SB RAS. The meeting focused on joint research into atmospheric turbulence and the development of adaptive optics systems for large-aperture solar telescopes.
The Chinese specialists presented latest achievements of their laboratory in high-precision solar observations. In turn, the Russian scientists shared their successes in related research fields.
The both teams noted the productivity of the meeting and the progress of their joint research as part of a research project supported by the Russian Science Foundation and the National Science Foundation of China.
